The SoilCAM project (Contract number: 212663) is funded under the thematic area Environment (including Climate Change) of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007-2013).
The goal of the SoilCAM project is to better understand the physical, chemical, and biological behaviour of the root zone and the layers that are in between root zone and groundwater level.
We consider in detail the flow, transport, and biogeochemical interactions for a soil system that is considered to be vulnerable to adverse contamination effects, i.e., a sandy soil with relatively shallow groundwater.
